We are so glad you are here. This book club is designed to be the bridge connecting reading with community. Rooted in connection, this book club focuses on events that spark meaningful discussion, outside the box thinking, and creativity. We have structured monthly book discussion meetings and monthly book-centered events planned, so check out the calendar and find one that fits your schedule.
My Story
I joined a book club in Denver, Colorado where I met some of my closest friends. I enjoyed the deep discussions, a variety of different genres that I normally wouldn't pick up, and meeting awesome new people each month. When I moved to Alaska 5 years ago, it only made sense for me to start my own chapter here. I ran the Anchorage chapter of The Gloss book club, but our chapter has decided to branch out and expand! We have many new exciting ideas to bring to life and hope you join us.
How it Works
This book club has two locations: Anchorage and Mat-Su Valley. You are welcome at one or the other at any time that works for you. The books and events will mirror one another with the only difference being the location. As a member of The Last Chapter, you are welcome to vote on the upcoming month's book read. Voting opens the start of the month for the book choice 2 months out. For example, Jan 1-31st, vote is open for March's book. February meeting will have a raffle of March's book. In addition to the monthly book discussions, we will also have monthly connection meet ups. They are centered around books and will generally be free or have a small fee depending on the event.
